The Idaho Surveying and Rating Bureau, Inc. will always discuss with municipal or district officials their grading results, any proposed changes, special protection problems and the establishment of protected areas.

Graded areas can request a re-evaluation at any time. However the request must come from the mayor, city manager, city council, district commission, or association officers. The request should state the nature of the improvements to be considered.

Areas that have not been evaluated and have established a fire suppression system (see minimum criteria) must request an evaluation. However the request must come from the mayor, city manager, city council, district commission, or association officers.

The Bureau reserves the right, in all cases to determine when any evaluations or re-evaluations are to be made. The Bureau re-evaluates all graded areas on a regular schedule. Currently this schedule is set so that the information used to do the gradings is not over ten (10) years old.

The Bureau does not charge a fee for any of our services. There is also no waiting period between when a grading is completed and when a request for re-evaluation can be made.

If it would be of helpful our field representative will attended council or district meetings to help answer your questions. Contact Leland Boekweg
