THE IDAHO SURVEYING AND RATING BUREAU, INC. is an independent rating organization operating with a license from the Idaho Department of Insurance as a "rating making organization" for property insurance. The Bureau is operated as a not for profit, association of insurers.

Any insurer doing property business in Idaho is eligible to affiliate with the Bureau. Our services are provided without discrimination to affiliates, their producers and the insuring public.

The Bureau provides property insurance services in the following lines of insurance:

Dwelling Fire and Extended Coverage

Farms, including Farmowners

Homeowner

Commercial Fire and Extended Coverage

Businessowners

Highly Protected Risk Plans

The Bureau is an outgrowth of the Board of Fire Underwriters of the Pacific. Bureau operations were handled for Idaho out of the Board's offices in Salt Lake City and Portland until the Idaho Bureau was formed and located at Boise in 1923. The Bureau was incorporated in 1947. The Bureau is governed by a nine member Board of Directors, each Director is an employee of a member company.
